Dr. “Joy” Vergara is a graduate of Medical Technology at the University of Santo Tomas and received her medical degree from the Far Eastern University, Institute of Medicine, both in the Philippines. She completed a rotating internship at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center and pediatric residency trainings at the Philippine Children’s Medical Center and VCU Health. She joined the practice in 1993. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and an assistant clinical professor at VCU. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her twin daughters.
