Dr. Hoff received his undergraduate degree in chemistry at Rutgers University and subsequently graduated from the Western University of Health Sciences at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. Dr. Hoff also completed a surgical internship at the Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia and he completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia. He followed that with a fellowship at VCU/MCV in interventional pain medicine.
Dr. Hoff specializes in the implantation of devices that help patients manage their pain, such as pain pumps or spinal cord stimulators. He stays on the cutting edge of medicine by participating in research in areas such as neuromodulation, electrical stimulation in wound healing, non-surgically managed spinal fractures and a variety of related topics. He has extensive knowledge of alternative pain management treatments, in addition to conventional treatments, through his medical training. He also volunteers his time with Sportables, a national group that promotes wheelchair athletics. Dr. Hoff is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
