Dr. Ekaterina Bratysheva is board certified in family medicine. She earned her medical degree at Altay State Medical University in Russia, her country of birth. She completed her residency in family medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University/St. Francis Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Bratysheva served as chief resident and was recipient of the resident teacher award at the St. Francis Family Medicine Residency Program.
Dr. Bratysheva currently works as an attending physician at Bon Secours St. Francis Family Medicine Center and is a faculty member at the St. Francis Family Medicine Residency Program. She sees patients of all ages and treats chronic medical conditions. She has a particular interest in newborn, pediatric and adolescent care. Dr. Bratysheva is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Virginia Academy of Family Physicians. She speaks both English and Russian. In her free time Dr. Bratysheva enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. She likes traveling, mountain skiing and hiking.
