- Dr. Wayne is a physiatrist, a medical doctor trained in the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He works hand-in-hand with orthopaedic surgeons to diagnose, treat, and direct the rehabilitation of disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal system. His practice is focused on electrodiagnostics; studying the electrical properties of nerves and muscles. Patients are commonly referred to Dr. Wayne for symptoms of numbness, tingling, weakness and pain, to be evaluated using nerve conduction studies and electromyography. The most common clinical entities include: carpal tunnel syndrome, neuropathies, and radiculopathies (pinched nerves in the neck and/or back). Dr. Wayne is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation since 1985.
