Dr. Christopher K. Hersh, MD, MBA, graduated from Duke University with a B.A. in Economics. He attended the University of Kansas School of Medicine and obtained his MD in 1990. The doctor is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, a medical honors society.
Upon graduation, Dr. Hersh began work in orthopedic surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center where he trained with some of the nation's top orthopedic surgeons. He stayed in San Antonio, completing a fellowship in microvascular and hand surgery with the San Antonio Hand Center.
The doctor came to the Hampton Roads area to teach and serve in the United States Navy at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. He ultimately joined Norfolk Hand Center.
Dr. Hersh is a member of the American Association of Hand Surgery and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery He is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and has a Certificate of Added Qualifications of Hand Surgery.
The doctor currently practices hand surgery at Norfolk Hand Center. He operates at Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center. Dr. Hersh has been named as one of the region's top hand surgeons.
