Brian J. McKee, MD
Dr. McKee has been practicing in Newport News, VA since 1987. He was raised in upstate New York in a family of 5 physicians, including 2 sisters and 1 brother-in-law who are ophthalmologists.
He obtained his undergraduate degree from Lafayette College and his Masters Degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. After attending The Albany Medical College in New York, he interned West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh and completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Dr. McKee is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, the Virginia Society of Ophthalmology, the Newport News Medical Society, and the American Diabetes Association. He practices comprehensive ophthalmology with an emphasis on cataract surgery, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma treatment, and medical surgical laser treatments.
Dr. McKee is interested in fitness and nutrition and enjoys playing many sports, including tennis, soccer, skiing, hockey, and rowing. He has lived on the Virginia peninsula for over 20 years and has one daughter and two sons.
