- Ashley Foster received her Bachelor's of Science degree from James Madison University. She returned to school for nursing and completed a BSN from Virginia Commonwealth University. While working as a nurse in the Surgical Trauma ICU at VCU Health System, she earned her MSN from Virginia Commonwealth University in the Acute Care track. Ashley joined the Liver Institute in August 2017. She has worked as an NP in the Cardiac Surgery ICU at VCUHS and in GI with GastroIntestinal Specialists prior to joining Bon Secours. She treats a variety of hepatic issues including chronic hepatitis C, fatty liver, PBC, PSC, hepatitis B and pre-and post liver transplant patients. She is an active member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners and Richmond Advanced Practice Society. In her free time, she teaches as an adjunct faculty for the Acute Care NP program at VCU School of Nursing, chases her boy/girl twins and enjoys watching VCU men's basketball.
