Amy is a 2002 graduate of Shenandoah University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Simmons University in Boston, MA. Amy has had treatment experience in a variety of therapy settings including outpatient orthopedics, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and acute care rehabilitation. In 2006, she earned her Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) certifications from the Academy of Lymphatic Studies. In the same year, Amy completed further lymphedema training from Pacific Therapy Education Coast to Coast School of Lymphedema Management (Leduc Method) to further strengthen her treatment techniques.
Amy enjoys the challenge of treating patients in the acute phase of oncology care and post-surgical rehabilitation. She works to empower her patients, and their families, to achieve independence in managing their lymphedema.
When she’s not at work, Amy loves to spend time with her husband and three daughters trekking around Virginia to participate in soccer games, and swim meets. She also enjoys home improvement projects and playing soccer.
