About Us

Since 1991, Bon Secours Community Works (BSCW) has worked to further the mission of the Sisters of Bon Secours by providing programs, services and affordable housing designed to improve social determinates of health and uplift West Baltimore residents and families. We organize our efforts into three primary service delivery departments: Economic Development, Youth & Family Services, and Housing & Community Development.

Located at the intersection of the Franklin Square, Boyd-Booth, and Fayette Street Outreach communities, BSCW serves an average of 4,000 community members annually. Originally a part of Bon Secours Baltimore Hospital, BSCW has grown into a unique pillar of community support focused on the holistic needs of our clients. We are committed to the principles of community engagement and seek to work alongside community leaders and residents to establish solutions to the issues most affecting them.

In 2020, Bon Secours Community Works was recognized by the Baltimore Business Journal with a Better Baltimore Award acknowledging its positive impact on the city and its surrounding counties.
