Dr. Schaffer attended the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia, for her undergraduate degree. She received her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at the Medical Center of Delaware and oncology fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia. She was a consulting associate at Duke University Medical Center for five years and in private practice in Richmond for two years. Dr. Schaffer is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.
