Donna East completed her basic Nursing education in 1970 with a diploma in Nursing from Stuart Circle Hospital School of Nursing. She completed her Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Virginia in 1975. She then obtained a baccalaureate degree in Nursing from the Medical College of Virginia in 1986. Ms. East has worked as a Adult Nurse Practitioner in Richmond since 1975.

Ms. East is a member of the Richmond Chapter of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners and is past president of local and state organizations. She is a member of Virginia Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, American Association of Legal Nurse Consultations and American Association of Diabetic Educators and is nationally certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Adult Nurse Practitioner.
