Net Access is the pathway physicians use to access a patient's clinical and demographic data. Patient results from lab, radiology, vascular and cardiac cath labs, and cardiac graphics are displayed in this pathway. Also, transcribed reports from OR and Medical Records/HIM, like H&Ps, Consults and Discharge Summaries, are available on line.
Net Access has been migrated to the nursing portal for the hospital information system. It has much the same look and feel as physicians' Net Access, but it also has additional interoperability with another product called OAS Gold. This allows for some of the increased functionality needed for Order Entry and online documentation. The Nursing Net Access Menu has a selection for "Add to My List" to facilitate adding physician consults.
HealthPort is an Information Systems Portal where Physicians can customize their home page with links to hospital applications that support the way they practice. Links can be added or deleted anytime at the discretion of the user. Individual, group census and name inquiries for the four Bon Secours Richmond hospitals can be displayed in the same data well. Selected web sites which may be valuable to the individual physician can be added e.g., reference sites, the office URL or regularly visited education sites.
Centricity PACs is the medical imaging archive system went live at St. Mary's the summer and fall of 2005.. Being "connected" to online imaging offers the physician and patient communities the advantage of consulting on results from various locations and lessens the incidence of cancelled appointments due to images being unavailable.
A new electronic documentation system was implemented in the Ers of all four Bon Secours Richmond Hospitals in late 2005. Physicians and nurses document on line and the system allows them to create prescriptions, aftercare instructions and work/school notes.
QS is the St. Francis equivalent of OB-TraceVue which captures nursing and physician documentation, work flow and patient tracking.
Rolled out with St. Francis live, Muse is available enterprise-wide and captures ecg waveforms and their interpretation and makes them available on line from anywhere on the hospital network or anywhere the network is accessible (e.g., via vpn)
Scheduling.com allows physician offices to call one number to schedule outpatient testing for any facility in Bon Secours Richmond. It simultaneously schedules and registers the patient and calls with a reminder two days prior to their visit.
SoftMed ESA and WebESA are used for electronically completing patient's medical record. All Bon Secours Richmond Health Information Management departments provide access to patient charts for completion through ESA since September 2006. Documents can be signed or completed anywhere there is hospital network access, e.g., in-house or from remote locations via a vpn connection.

McKessons ESI/ORBIT is utilized to schedule all surgical patients at Bon Secours Richmond Hospitals. The application allows Surgical Scheduling personnel to place procedures in O.R. suites appropriate to the surgeon's request. Room occupancies display graphically, allowing personnel to quickly identify slots for offices calling in late additions to today's, or tomorrow's schedule. In addition, the application is used at St. Francis Medical Center and St. Mary's Hospital create a real time on-line Peri-operative Journal.
