Financial Assistance Through Every Woman’s Life
This unique program educates Richmond-area women and refers them to low-cost or free mammograms and clinical breast exams in their communities.
This vital program also pays for breast diagnostic studies related to abnormal clinical breast exams or mammographic abnormalities. It facilitates enrollment into Medicaid for women diagnosed with breast cancer.
Since July of 2003, this Bon Secours program has reached more than 542,000 women with information about the importance of early detection of breast cancer. It has enrolled 1,500 women and provided 2,500 mammograms and clinical breast exams for uninsured/underinsured women in the Richmond area.
For six years, this program has been funded by the Avon Foundation through a generous grant to the Bon Secours Richmond Health Care Foundation. For more information, call (804) 359-WELL.
