As a recent graduate of Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing, I am going to soon enjoy the honor of being one of the newest nurses in the St. Francis’s ICU. Being a new grad, I never imagined that I would be able to land my dream job as an ICU nurse in a location that is so close to home. However, my Clinical Immersion course during my final semester of nursing school really sealed the deal. The SFMC ICU team welcomed me with open arms, open minds, and a ton of patience. As a student under the watchful eye of the most fantastic preceptor, Emily Parker, I had the opportunity to provide care for a very diverse patient population and learn about a variety of conditions.
