Located in Richmond's West End, St. Mary's Hospital is well known for its excellent nurse-to-patient ratio which keeps both our patients and our staff happy. Our 391-bed hospital, medical office buildings and physician practices offer services from a wide range of specialties.

Joint Replacement & Orthopaedics
Our nationally-recognized Joint Replacement center performs more than 600 hip and knee replacement surgeries every year.

Cardiac Care
Our digital cardiac lab provides a comprehensive spectrum of cardiac care including the world's first all-digital X-ray cardiovascular imaging system.

Pediatric/Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
This advanced 8-bed children's emergency center and intensive care unit treats all critically ill and injured children from newborn to young adults. Our NICU provides the most advanced monitoring equipment and technology available for our tiniest patients.

Surgical Weight Loss
Our facility includes specially-designed equipment and accommodations for weight-loss surgery patients. Over 1,000 surgeries are performed each year.

General Surgery
We offer a full spectrum of surgeries including vascular, gastric and urological procedures, as well as, laser and plastic/reconstructive surgeries.

Women’s Health
St. Mary’s Hospital was the first hospital in Richmond to feature digital mammography, the latest technology in women's breast care.

Cancer Care
Our Cancer Care Center takes a multidisciplinary approach to cancer care and includes an outpatient infusion center.

Primary Stroke Center
St. Mary’s Hospital has earned the Gold Seal of Approval™ as a Primary Stroke Center from the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) after a thorough on-site review.

Diabetes Treatment Center
The Diabetes Treatment Center at Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital is a member of American Healthways, the nation's leading and largest provider of specialized disease management and care enhancement services. This gives us access to the most current information and most effective diabetes treatment programs available. Our program has been awarded recognition by the American Diabetes Association in accordance with the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education Program.
