Since 1966, St. Mary’s has been serving the needs of Richmond’s West End residents, while drawing patients from throughout Central Virginia.

St. Mary’s Hospital has received the Gold Seal of Approval for their Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) and Heart Failure care programs by the Joint Commission. St. Mary’s also received the Gold Seal of Approval from the Joint Commission for Advanced Certification for Stroke and has been designated as a Primary Stroke Center for the second time. St. Mary’s is the only hospital in the mid-Atlantic and one of only 10 in the United States to receive designations for both disease-specific and stroke programs.
