Julia K. Padgett, M.D.
Dr. Padgett is a native of Richmond, Virginia, where she attended St. Catherine’s School and was named June Scholar (valedictorian). She was a Morehead Scholar the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and graduated with a BS in Biology with Highest Distinction. Dr. Padgett attended medical school at the University of Virginia where she received the Culberston Academic Achievement Award (valedictorian) in 1998. She competed her medical training in dermatology and fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Dr. Padgett served on the faculty of the University of Virginia Department of Dermatology from 2003 to 2011 before relocating her practice to her hometown in 2011. She is board certified in Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs surgery, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She is a member of the Medical Society of Virginia and a past president of the Virginia Dermatological Society. Dr. Padgett specializes in the medical and surgical management of skin cancer and the care of those at risk for skin cancer.
