Online Classes

The Center for Organizational Excellence, which includes the Education and Development Department, fosters our world class culture by helping our workforce develop strong competencies that support our mission, vision, values and strategic quality plan. We accomplish this by offering a wide range of services and resources designed to support the organization's goals and ultimately increase our effectiveness as individuals and team members.

Our programs, resources and services focus on three main areas: workforce development, leadership development, and organizational development. Within each of these, we use a variety of tools and techniques to support our work, such as assessments, training, coaching, and customized solutions. We take our cues from the organization from several different venues: strategic goals, feedback from leaders and employees, review of annual performance improvement plans, program evaluations and survey results.

Workforce Development

This area includes a variety of programs and services for the individual employee from his/her inception into Bon Secours at orientation and throughout his/her career. We offer assistance in career planning and development, and provide numerous resources and strategies to help individuals plan their course for success, both personally and professionally.

Leadership Development

We make a strategic investment in the continuous development of each leader. The Center's offerings focus on helping leaders gain more self-awareness of personal attributes, learn desired behaviors, and become proficient in leadership skills and techniques. We also support efforts to improve the process of leadership through focused work on team dynamics, quality of relationships, and improving skill at navigating essential organizational processes.

Organizational Development (also known as OD)

OD is a collaboration with our organizational leaders and their teams. The goal is to create systemic change that addresses strategic thinking and root cause problem-solving to improve productivity and engagement. At its best, OD involves organizational reflection, system improvement, effective planning and value-added self-analysis.
