Children's Services
Community Outreach

Bon Secours Richmond Health System is more than just hospitals. We're members of the community with a responsibility to serve our neighbors who may be in need. We offer or partner in numerous programs aimed at making children and their families healthier, happier people. At Bon Secours, education is a priority and the Love and Learn program offers the most comprehensive selection of prenatal and parenting classes in the Richmond area. Our partnership with Commonwealth Parenting brings their more than 20 years of expertise in child development to the families that we both serve. The recognizable Care-A-Van goes out into the community to provide much-needed medical services to children, including immunizations. And our Community Outreach Specialists seek eligible applicants for the Commonwealth's FAMIS children's health insurance program and assist them through the enrollment process.

At Bon Secours, our mission is to provide compassionate, quality healthcare services to those in need, including the poor and dying, to ease human suffering, and bring people to wholeness in the midst of pain and loss. You'll find this approach reflected not only in the expert pediatric care we provide but also in our Community Outreach Services.
