Learn About Our Pediatric Care Teams
Pediatric Neonatology

Pregnancy is exciting, but if your baby is at risk for complications, it can also be stressful. At Bon Secours, our goal is to make this special time as comfortable and safe as possible, for both you and your baby.

Neonatology is a subspecialty of pediatric medicine that focuses primarily on the medical and surgical needs of newborn babies. Our Neonatologists are pediatricians who have also completed advanced training in the care of very sick or premature babies. They often consult on high-risk prenatal care before the baby is born and during and after delivery, they lead the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) teams.

Neonatologists provide treatment for:

  • Premature infants
  • Infections
  • Birth injuries
  • Birth defects

Together with a highly skilled and dedicated team of other physicians, neonatal nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, and additional professionals, neonatologists provide the most advanced medical care to your baby 24/7 in our state-of-the-art NICUs.

No matter what the situation, the health of your infant is our primary concern. We'll treat you and your baby with the compassionate, expert care you've come to expect from Bon Secours.
