At Bon Secours Richmond, we continue a tradition of care for the sick and poor that began in Paris in 1824 with the founding of the Sisters of Bon Secours. In 1881, the Sisters arrived in the United States and gradually built a national ministry that includes us to this day.
For more than 40 years, Bon Secours, which means “good help” in French, has lived in Richmond through our hospitals and medical facilities. Good help also lives in our physicians, nurses and staff, who are recognized leaders in providing unparalleled care.
