Good Education

St. Mary's Hospital School of Medical Imaging.

Introduction

The St. Mary’s Hospital School of Medical Imaging proudly offers 38 years of experience and accreditation. The program follows the strict requirements of the ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technologists) curriculum, meets accreditation standards of the JRCERT (Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology) and SCHEV (State Council of Higher Education for Virginia).

After the student meets our program requirements, the student is eligible to take the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) exam for credentialing. After successful completion of the exam, the student becomes a registered technologist and can proudly wear R.T. (R) behind their name. This is a critical requirement as you apply for employment and seek to meet employer expectations.

A program must have either JRCERT accreditation or be regionally accredited by the Department of Education. Our Program holds the highest level of accreditation by the JRCERT (www.JRCERT.org).
