The Mission of the
Bon Secours Health System is to bring compassion to healthcare and to be good help to those in need, especially those who are poor and dying. As a system of caregivers we commit ourselves to help bring people and communities to health and wholeness as part of the healing ministry of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church.
Bon Secours Medical Group supports ongoing professional development for physicians in a variety of ways.
During each fiscal year (Sept. 1 – Aug. 31), physicians may take up to five days for the purpose of attending professional meetings or seminars. Employer will provide a professional development allowance of up to $3,000 for:
- meetings or seminars,
- the purchase of professional journals, including professional books,
- software,
- online subscriptions, and
- the payment of professional dues.
Any unused days or allowance for professional development does not carryover at the end of that fiscal year. The professional development allowance may be applied to computers or other hardware devices.
