The Mission of the
Bon Secours Health System is to bring compassion to healthcare and to be good help to those in need, especially those who are poor and dying. As a system of caregivers we commit ourselves to help bring people and communities to health and wholeness as part of the healing ministry of Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church.

Moving across town or across country can be stressful. That's why Bon Secours Medical Group offers a comprehensive relocation program to make your move to Richmond as easy as possible.

We've partnered with SMARTMOVE to offer "move management services," such as changing utilities, locating temporary housing or awarding priority status with approved moving companies.

Bon Secours employees and family members can get a rebate for buying or selling a home using an approved real estate agent.

Within two hours of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean, Richmond is not only centrally located in Virginia, but also along the East Coast. In fact, it is the middle point between Boston and Atlanta. More than 50 percent of the country’s population is within a 750-mile radius.

The Greater Richmond Region is comprised of the City of Richmond and three surrounding counties with the following approximate populations:

  • City of Richmond 192,000
  • Chesterfield 281,000
  • Hanover 95,000
  • Henrico 280,000
  • Other Outlying Counties 304,300

This compares with a statewide population of approximately 7.5 million people.
