Welcome to St. Francis Family Medicine Center. It is our sincere desire to give you the best healthcare possible. We specialize in family medicine and provide compassionate primary care through all stages of life.


Office Hours & Appointments
Monday and Wednesday from 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.
Fridays from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Patients are seen by appointment. In most circumstances, we can accommodate same day appointments.

In order to provide you with the best possible care, we need the most up-to-date information about you. Please remember to bring your insurance card and a list of all medications you are taking.

Insurance and Payment Information
We accept most insurance plans including Medicare. Many plans require that you make a co-payment at the time of your visit.

For self-pay patients, payment is expected in full at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, VISA and MasterCard.

Patients may contact the practice manager to discuss options for financial assistance. If you have any questions regarding your bill, please contact our business office at (804) 521-9300 or (800) 732-7072.

Physicians
Phil Sherrod, M.D.
Dr. Sherrod is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Sherrod is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. He is a native of Virginia and practices for 20 years at a rural family practice, then went to the University of North Carolina’s Department of Family Medicine where he established a Sports Health & Injury Clinic. Dr. Sherrod enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his grandchildren.
Paul Jackson, M.D.
Dr. Jackson earned his bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary and is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical College of Virginia. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice. Dr. Jackson serves as the Director of the Residency Program. He enjoys history, running, gardening and reading mysteries.
Glenna Hendricks, M.D.
Dr. Hendricks is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical College of Virginia. During her residency, Dr. Hendricks received several awards including Resident of the Year, Resident Humanitarian Award and Resident Research Award. Dr. Hendrick’s is board certified in obstetrics-gynecology and family medicine, which allows her to care for women and their families. Away from the office, Dr. Hendricks enjoys spending time with her three dogs and one cat, sewing, quilting and swimming.
Greg Vanichkachorn , M.D.
Dr. Vanichkachorn attended Cornell University in Ithaca, New York for his undergraduate degree. He received his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University's Medical College of Virginia and completed his residency at St. Francis Family Medicine Center in Midlothian, Virginia. He is Board Certified in Family Practice.
William V. Purcell, M.D.
Dr. Purcell attended the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia for his undergraduate degree. He received his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Chesterfield Family Practice in Richmond. Dr. Purcell is Board Certified in Family Practice.
Douglas Okay, M.D.
Dr. Okay attended Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmittsburg, MD for his undergraduate degree. He received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed his residency at Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. Dr. Okay was a fellow in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine with a certificate of added qualification in Sports Medicine.


Kerry Eley, MD
Dr. Eley attended Virginia Commonwealth University for her undergraduate degree. She received her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and completed her residency with St. Francis Family Medicine Center in Midlothian, Virginia. Dr. Eley is board eligible in Family Medicine.

Emergencies
Our physicians are available to you 24 hours a day. After hours you will be transferred to our on-call physician service. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 911.

Referrals
If your physician has referred you to a Specialist, we request 72-hour notice for processing referrals, except for emergencies.

Prescription Refills
For your convenience, refill requests for medications other than controlled drugs may be requested through your pharmacy, and your pharmacy will submit the request to us. Medication refill requests should be made during normal business hours. We request 48 hours to process refill requests.

Medical Records
Your records are confidential and will not be released without a signed consent from you.
